Environmental and engineering geophysics focuses on detecting the physical properties and fields of shallow subsurface media to address challenges in resource development, environmental protection, disaster prevention, and engineering construction. Shallow geophysical investigations face difficulties such as complex subsurface variations, signal interference, high precision requirements, and diverse operational demands.
The integration of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of things, and digital twins, is transforming data acquisition, processing, and decision-making in near-surface geophysics. These advances provide strong support for building smart cities and ensuring ecological resilience. China's ongoing urbanization, ecological initiatives, and major national projects offer significant opportunities for geophysical innovation and application. To foster academic exchange and technical collaboration in the field, the 12th International Conference on Environmental and Engineering Geophysics (ICEEG 2026) will be held in June 2026, in Wuhan, China. We sincerely welcome professors, experts, scholars, and students to submit papers and participate in the conference actively.
环境与工程地球物理学作为地球物理学的重要分支,致力于探测和理解浅地表介质的物理性质差异及其形成的物理场,研究与解决资源开发、环境保护、灾害防控和重大工程建设中的关键问题,以推动人与自然和谐共生的可持续发展。地球浅表层地球物理探测面临介质横向变化剧烈、有效信号易受干扰、探测精度与分辨率要求高、工作任务涵盖面广、且常需重复或连续动态观测与成像等诸多挑战。与此同时,人类社会一方面持续从浅表层获取水与矿产资源,并构建容纳能源、通讯、交通等生命线系统的复杂地下空间网络;另一方面,人类活动所产生的各类废弃物也对浅层地质环境产生深远影响。这使得环境与工程地球物理不仅在探测、监测与评价等技术层面至关重要,也在政策制定、社会治理及法律法规等非技术层面发挥着不可或缺的桥梁作用。
当前,人工智能、大数据、物联网与数字孪生等前沿技术的深度融合,正深刻变革着浅地表地球物理的数据采集、处理、解释与决策模式,为智慧城市、生态安全和韧性社会的构建提供了前所未有的技术支撑。中国快速推进的城市化进程、生态文明建设与国家重大战略工程,与地球物理技术的创新突破高度契合,为相关领域的科学研究与技术应用提供了丰富场景与独特机遇。为持续促进环境与工程地球物理学科的学术交流、技术协作与成果共享,第十二届环境与工程地球物理国际会议(ICEEG 2026)将于2026年6月在“魅力江城”武汉召开。我们热诚欢迎广大教授、专家、学者、学生积极投稿并参加会议。
